RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vardan Kostanyan hosted the UNDP delegation led by UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in in Armenia Konstantin Sokulskiy. The Deputy Minister welcomed the guests, emphasizing the close cooperation between the parties and the large-scale works being carried out. Konstantin Sokulskiy expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of cooperation with the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, thanks to which they were part of the measures aimed at increasing the resilience of Armenian communities and developing infrastructure.
During the meeting, the implemented and ongoing activities within the framework of the Sustainable Communities Programme, “Support to Displaced Persons from Nagorno-Karabakh and Communities in Armenia” and “Strengthening Local Actors for Development in Lori and Tavush Regions / EULEAD” projects were presented, and the results were summarized. In particular, within the framework of the EULEAD project, new jobs were created in the Lori and Tavush regions, as part of the Sustainable Communities Programme, schools and kindergartens have been renovated, solar stations, water heaters and street lighting networks have been installed in a number of communities, etc. Other issues related to partnership were also discussed.
